Marson had a nice spring…hope they give him some playing time so we can see what he’ll do on this level. I think Coste may run into problems if they overwork him anyway, so use the rookie!
Great game last night! “Everybody hits! Woo hoo!” The most impressive thing about the offense to me…….7 runs on 2 outs.
Brett needs to learn how not to give up the long ball. But other than that, very impressive!
HAPPY EASTER!

As if the Ironpigs aren’t having enough problems with Tiffee and Slayden still in extended spring training, the Phils now give them a catcher named Orlando Guevara from class A Clearwater who has a .160 lifetime average as the replacement for Marson. I hope Lou does well with the Phillies. At least he was in Allentown long enough to pick up his World Series ring before the home opener on Thursday.
I hope Ruiz will be 100% when he returns; that’s the most important thing. Chris will have the chance to prove the Phils right for dumping Paulino in favor of Coste. I think Marson is definitely going to take advantage of this situation. He got a taste of what it was like being in the Majors last year when he traveled with the Phils as their bullpen catcher during the magical run to the World Series Championship. I also think that he knows the pitchers way more than most of us think he does, because of that experience.
Wally Pipp?
