Rollins Gets a Rest
In case you’re wondering why Jimmy Rollins isn’t in the lineup today against the Padres, it’s because he is hitting .133 (6 for 45) and Charlie Manuel figures a day off could help. Jayson Werth also has a day off, but it appears it’s just to get Matt Stairs a little playing time.

Time for the team to get past all the distractions, both happy and sad, and get on with the season. The pitching staff in particular.
