I love this line-up! Hopefully, they can keep up the success.
GO PHILS!!!
Hope Hamels continues his dominance against the Reds.
GO PHILS!!
This is a great line up. Howard protects Rauuul so they can’t pitch around him. Speed in top half (Rollins and Utley) and speed in bottom (Shane and Werth). Very well balanced S, L, L, L, R, S, R, R, Bunt
We should sweep as Votto is out, and the rest of the team would struggle to make a decent AAA roster.
Not so fast, jefzahav. The Reds have some pitching. They have the 2nd best bullpen ERA and the 4th best overall ERA in the NL. We are missing Volquez in this series which is big, but still………..
Plus, on our side we have Blanton and Moyer going in this series, so I’m not all that confident in a sweep. If we get good pitching, chances are pretty good that we will see three low scoring games…………..
This is where having Votto out really helps. Only Votto, Bruce, and Phillips have more than 14RBI for the Reds and the bottom of their lineup is terrible……………
If we get good pitching and they struggle to score, then even if they pitch well against us we should still have our chances to win these games, especially considering how homer-friendly their park is.
