Here We Go …

dodger stadium game 1.jpgIt’s an absolutely beautiful day in Los Angeles.

We will have lineups and official word on Pedro Martinez starting Game 2 a little later. But because we looked at Clayton Kershaw vs. the Phillies yesterday, let’s take a look today at Cole Hamels’ numbers vs. the Dodgers:

  • Brad Ausmus: .000 (0-for-4, 1 walk, 1 strikeout).
  • Ronnie Belliard: .269 (7-for-26, 1 double, 2 homers, 3 RBIs, 1 walk, 8 strikeouts).
  • Casey Blake: .286 (4-for-14, 1 double, 2 RBIs, 1 strikeout).
  • Andre Ethier: .100 (1-for-10, 1 double, 2 strikeouts).
  • Rafael Furcal: .143 (1-for-7, 2 strikeouts).
  • Orlando Hudson: .167 (2-for-12, 1 double, 4 strikeouts).
  • Matt Kemp: .333 (4-for-12, 1 double, 5 strikeouts).
  • James Loney: .250 (3-for-12, 1 double, 1 home run, 1 RBI, 2 strikeouts).
  • Mark Loretta: .250 (1-for-4).
  • Russell Martin: .273 (3-for-11, 1 homer, 2 RBIs, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts).
  • Juan Pierre: .250 (3-for-12, 1 double).
  • Manny Ramirez: .250 (2-for-8, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 1 strikeout).

Phillies in 5 – thats pretty bold Todd, but I like it…I think Cole should be in a better frame of mind for this game than the one against the Rockies, so we will hopefully see him go really deep into the game tonight…

Pretty good numbers, hopefully he can keep them up in a day game.

I got tickets today for the probable game 5, so hopefully they can clinch it then!

There’s an episode of The Office where Jim takes all of the possessions on Dwight’s desk and puts them in the vending machine so that he has to pay to get each item back. One of the items is a Mike Lieberthal Bobblehead.

I’m disappointed in Kevin. The fictional characters from Scranton are Phillies/Eagles fans, but I guess in reality they are typical Hollywood frontrunners.
