Project Runway
Shane Victorino arrived at camp yesterday, and I hadn’t spoken with him in a while. I read he had designed a Flyin’ Hawaiian t-shirt for Silver Star and wanted to ask him about it:
TZ: So you have a clothing line now?
SV: It’s a shirt. It’s not a clothing line. But I will be doing a series of shirts.
TZ: Did you actually design it?
SV: Yeah. I had a lot to do with the design.
TZ: You just told them what you wanted on it?
SV: Yeah. Did you see it?
TZ: Yeah, it looks good, but I don’t think I could pull off that look.
SV: Why not?
TZ: I don’t think I’m cool enough for a shirt like that.
SV: Shoot.
TZ: So when they approached you about designing a t-shirt you were on board immediately?
SV: Yeah, I’ve always wanted an Affliction shirt or something like that because I’m a big MMA guy. There’s supposed to be a series of like five or six shirts.
TZ: And you’re actually designing them?
SV: I tell them what I want, they design it and I give them the yay or nay.
TZ: You’re on your way. You’re a mogul in the making.
