Ready to Go

The Phillies’ first full squad workout is tomorrow and everybody is here. Jimmy Rollins, Jayson Werth and Greg Dobbs arrived today for physicals. The first game action is March 3 against Florida State at Bright House Field. The first Grapefruit League game is March 4 against the Yankees at Bright House Field.

Brad Lidge threw a bullpen session this morning as scheduled. He is believed to be ahead of schedule and remains a possibility to be on the Opening Day roster.

The Zo Zone is on Facebook and Twitter. His book “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly: Philadelphia Phillies” is available online, and will be in Delaware Valley bookstores SOON!

Wow! Werth is sporting the Eric Bruntlett look?!?

Werth or Halladay? It is going to come down to this at the end of this season. The truth of the matter is that it already has on the side of Halladay. By the time 2012 rolls around, it will be the 40th anniversary of the 1972 Steve Carlton season. Roy Halladay will have had the season for the ages on a last place team just as Carlton did. By the by, I would take any Werth moonshot over a Roy Halladay pitchers duel, insomniacs delight. If nothing else, we can count on Rueban being history by 2012.

Pherris: I must be out of the US for too long…I don’t understand WTF you’re trying to say. You can’t be hinting that the Phils are in for a last place finish this year, or in 2011 or 2012, so obviously my ENglish skills have/ are deserting me. Try again to convey your message please

I guess Werth felt he needed to make up for Bruntlett’s absence with the Grizzly Adams look. Wow. Hope all that hair doesn’t slow him down on the base path ;o)

Chan Ho Park is now in Yankees pinstripes. He’s also getting paid less than what the Phils were offering him (and he probably won’t be a starter either)

pherris is a troll, has been for a long time, just ignore him.

Never figured Jayson Werth to be the type to grow a burly beard… at least it will keep my wife from bitching about his chin strip every time he comes up.

can’t wait to see our batters pound Mr. Park in the World Series. He won’t get his ring this year either…..

Annnddd….we’re back! I agree with you FIJ, Pherrisphain makes no sense. If Werth was the only offense we had, he might be right, but given that we are well stocked in that department, I’ll take Halladay any day of the week.
As for Chan Ho, I think he did what alot of players did this off season and over value himself and his ability to get a starting role. He thought he could get more money and a starter shot and he was very wrong and by the time he realised that, 90% of the league had moved on. Look at how long it took Damon to sign.

deb & fij: That’s the same Pherris who criticised me a few days ago, saying that I wasn’t writing in english, or some such nonsense. Another gem.
I’d go back and re-read his comment but I don’t think it would make any more sense the second time than it did the first time.

Yikes! Hope the beard will soon be “ready to go”. But, hey, if JW has a season anywhere near what he had in ’09, let the hair flow — especially as he’s flying around the bases! Good to see deb and f-i-j back. Pherris, the season has yet to even begin…hope you can get a grip and try to enjoy it. Will be a long one if you keep posting that negative swill but you’re certainly entitled to your opinion.

pherris, why did they take you off your meds?

Things were kind of quiet around here until the short bus arrived and the idiot savant phan52 arrived champing at the bit to spew his numbers and metrics until someone asked him to get specific and he fades away. Muleman, it seems your command of the English language is improving, kudos to you. And Zach58, I have been wondering, is the 58 in your moniker your IQ or your sperm count? In the mean time back on the farm….wait a minute….did I say farm? If memory serves me correctly, that is what the Phillies use to have until that great agronomist Rueben Amaro, Jr., arrived. Oh, well! Back to the future.

pherris, I think I speak for the masses here when I ask the pertinent question: WTF are you talking about?

Really, get over yourself.

phan52 : You think you speak for the masses? The first revelation is the idea that you are capable of thinking at all. The second is that if I expound on any subject at all, it is going to be too deep for your shallow mind.

pherris, you’re a clownshow and I guarantee you that I am far from alone in that assessment.
Get back to me when you get over yourself, or you and your big brain are back on your meds.

Jayson Werth is the best. I saw him training with physios and all. Trust me he really looks a sweetheart! March 3 will be a big day for him along with Greg and Jimmy. I believe they?re surely going to entertain us heartily. You go Werth!! Chao! – Jordan

The Phillies are not leaving anything to chances this season are they? The signings and fitness that players such as Jayson Werth, Jimmy Rollins and Greg Dobbs are showing is good for the first fame against Florida State at the Bright House Field. – Jordan

I agree with Ralph. The main problem with developing something for Microdata is the lack of support that most web browsers have for the same. However, your post was really valuable and information was nicely put in the article. Please come up with articles like this again and enlighten us!
