Chilly in Clearwater, Halladay Throws BP

It’s pretty chilly in Clearwater today, as Jimmy Rollins‘ headwear suggests. But it’s still better than Philly.

Today we got a chance to watch Roy Halladay throw against Chase Utley, Raul Ibanez, Domonic Brown and others. Players typically just take pitches the first day. They’re just tracking balls. But Brown felt ready enough to take a couple hacks. The ball didn’t get very far.

Congratulations to Wilmington News Journal‘s Scott Lauber, who just got a job covering the Red Sox for the Boston Herald. Did you know Scott wrote a book with Gary Matthews? Why, yes. Yes, he did.

The Zo Zone is on Facebook and Twitter. His book “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly: Philadelphia Phillies” is available online, and at most Delaware Valley bookstores NOW!

Thanks, Todd. Just what we need while we await blizzard #4.

If J-Roll puts on his Elmer Fudd hat than we’ll say its cold (LOL!)

Classical music gradually lost popularity because it is too complicated: you need twenty-five or thirty skilled musicians just to hum it properly. So people began to develop regular music. Do you think so? – Jordan
