Polanco Could Play As Early As Friday

joked this morning at Bright House Field that Placido Polanco had his pimp walk working.

In other words, Polanco feels fine.

Polanco sprained his right knee stumbling on the pitcher’s mound Monday at McKechnie Field in Bradenton. Polanco said this morning “it’s still a little bit sore, but it’s the best case. I was pretty worried yesterday.”

Polanco, who said he received no further testing on his knee, hit off the tee this morning. He also rode the exercise bike. He said tomorrow should be another step forward.

“Hopefully I’ll be playing pretty soon,” he said. “The day off (Thursday) will help.”

Target date to return?

“Yesterday,” he joked.

But Friday would be the earliest we would see him in the lineup.

Thanks to Glen and Anthony on WIP, who just had me on before the game. Had fun talking about the book and the Phillies.

Balls, Sticks, & Stuff has put my book on its reading list. Many thanks!

The Zo Zone is on Facebook and Twitter. His Phillies book “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” is available online, and at Delaware Valley bookstores!

Another great start by Hamels and a monster game from Brown today. 3 for 3 with a walk, 2 home runs and 4 RBI, with a nice catch in the outfield.

Hi Todd! I finally got your book today for my birthday! The suspense was killing me…can’t wait to read it :O)
And I am so glad Polly is ok! Whew! Close one.
