its over… SY jinx never fails … look at last years WS cover with R Howard on the cover…. who at the time coming out of the NLDS and NLCS was hitting like .400 … then went stone friggin cold
there ya go… another case for it
and it is NOT related to Phillies either…it affects everyone
I was just looking for a high res of the cover, and here you come posting a frickin 2064 x 2071 image. Thanks Todd!
Not worried about any jinx. Looks like it’s hit Seattle and Lee.
The last Phils’ starting pitcher on SI’s cover was Cole Hamels in February, 2009. I hope that’s not an omen.

Is this a national cover or a regional one? Their NCAA Tournament Preview had about 10 different covers featuring different players. Some magazines do regional covers to spark interest.
Secondly, stop with the stupid jinx nonsense. It’s a magazine cover. Do you believe in voodoo curses and witchcraft too?
Also Philly magazine has 4 cover pictures (Howard, Victorino, Rollins & Utley) for this month’s issue. Nice article also on some the Phillies’ wives and how they cope with being the wife of an professional athlete (not easy sometimes).
Not sure how a Halladay SI cover will sell in New York City. I’m guessing Sabathia is on the cover north of Trenton and Pujols in the midwest.
