Halladay Goes the Distance
If you watched the Phillies beat Houston today, 2-1, you certainly caught Roy Halladay work out of a couple jams.
The Astros had the bases loaded with nobody out in the sixth, but scored just one run. They had runners on first and second with one in the seventh, but did not score at all. It’s fun to watch Halladay cruise through the opposition like he cruised through the first five innings, but I especially liked watching him pitch through the sixth and seventh innings. He looked so good at pitching out of trouble that it’s almost like he enjoys the challenge:
Boy, I’m pretty bored going through this Astros lineup. I think I’ll let a few guys on to challenge myself.
Hey, tomorrow is the home opener. I’ll be there, provided my 6:26 a.m. flight from Houston arrives on time.
I will be signing copies of my Phillies book “The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Borders on S. Broad Street in Center City. I hope you can stop by. The Zo Zone is on Facebook and Twitter.
