Gillies Pleads Not Guilty
The lawyer for prospect Tyson Gillies entered a written plea of not guilty this week in the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
Officers for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gillies on Aug. 20 in Clearwater, Fla., on a felony charge of cocaine possession. He is free on $2,000 bond. The Phillies previously said in a statement, “Because this is an open case, we will not comment further at this time.”
Gillies’ lawyer, J. Kevin Hayslett, could not be reached for comment. Hayslett has represented high-profile clients inclding Hulk Hogan‘s son, Nick Bollela.
