Rollins Has Minor Wrist Surgery

Jimmy Rollins had minor surgery Thursday on his left wrist, but he should be fine in plenty of time for Spring Training.

In fact, it probably won’t affect him cutting into his Christmas ham.

Rollins had a ganglion cyst removed. His stitches will be removed sometime in the next two weeks.

Hand specialist Randall Culp performed the surgery.

I’ve got a new Facebook page, where I’ll post stories, blogs, thoughts, etc. Check it out here. Follow me on Twitter.

Jimmy needs to prepare his body better for 2011 so that he can play more games. I’m hoping for a nice, solid contribution from JRoll in 2011. He’s small but he does generate a good deal of power.

dandal, the whole team needs to work on their durability and stamina. Running out of gas in October is unacceptible as well as unprofessional.

Part of the problem with the perception that these players are not durable is that they are mostly over 3o yeras old. Older players get injured more easily. This team needs to get YOUNGER- this year at the corner OF positions (please start with Ibanez – even if you pay a big part of his 2011 contract) and Bullpen and next year at SS and perhaps elsewhere. RAJ needs to stop trading younger guys for ” win now” stop gap measures to appease Charlie Manual and short sighted segment of Phillies fans.
