Opening Day Bullpen Appears Set
The Phillies this morning optioned right-hander Scott Mathieson and left-hander Mike Zagurski to Minor League camp.
Why is this important?
Because with Brad Lidge opening the season on the DL, the Phillies have seven healthy relief pitchers in camp. Ruben Amaro Jr. said yesterday they would carry 12 pitchers with Lidge out, so that means the Opening Day bullpen is set:

- J.C. Romero
- Danys Baez
- Kyle Kendrick
- Antonio Bastardo
