Phillies Agree to Terms with Bush

The Phillies have agreed to terms on a Minor League contract with right-hander Dave Bush, according to a source.

The deal is pending a physical.

If Bush passes his physical he will report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Bush, who went to Conestoga High School, went 0-1 with a 5.79 ERA in 17 appearances before the Texas Rangers designated him for assignment and released him in July. He went 1-2 with a 6.14 ERA in five starts with Triple-A Iowa before he opted out of his contract with the Cubs on Thursday to become a free agent.

Dave Bush Trivia: He not only is a local guy, he got the only win against the Phillies in the 2008 NLDS.

Braves bullpen blows yet another save opportunity and the Phillies add to their lead without getting out of the lounge chair. Uggla’s streak is over.
And on a summer Sunday afternoon, the faux Braves fans still can’t come close to filling their stadium.

Some of the Phillies got out of their lounge chairs. Halladay was seen in the outfield grass in the rain and some of the others were in the workout room. That’s what separates them from losers like the Braves.
Who gives a f**k about Uggla’s streak?

I was glad to see that he didn’t go past Rollins and Utley.

In recent weeks the Phillies have showed the Braves who is in charge of the division and the Giants who is in charge of the NL. They put the Pirates to sleep for good. The have the chance to make life difficult for the D’backs this week as well.
Welcome the challenge.
