Is there a reason why Charlie refuses to start Pierre? He was the second best hitter for the Phils in the Grapefruit League. He looked like he could be the catalyst this lackluster offense needs until the Big Bats get back- I’m assuming they will get back. The fact that they are being humiliated by Pittsburgh’s pitching makes this feel worse than it probably should; after all, the Phils have pretty much sucked in Pittsburgh for years it seems. Still 21 guys reach base in two games and only two runs scored. After Pence, it seems like the Phils will need a lucky RBI from someone else during as game. I thought they would average 3-4 runs a game, but it could be worse than even that!
